STALKING THE PUMA: A Path for Life

July 19 to August 1, 2005

Peruvian Peaks The gift we have been given is the one called possibility, whose intent offers to tie all together, creating strands of a whole life rather than a disintegrated one.

-- Carla Woody from Standing Stark

In the tradition of the Andes, the puma or jaguar symbolizes the Kaypacha -- the middle world where we all need to learn to walk well. The puma moves through the landscape with pure intent. Its undomesticated energy creates connection in any given moment. In relaxation, it stretches magnificently, giving its body to the warmth of the sun. In alertness, it has a well-honed peripheral vision and springs with laser-like precision.

Despacho

This degree of consciousness is our birthright, one which we tend to forget due to societal programming. Why wait to wake up much later wondering what happened to you? Why not create that level of alignment now as you stand on the edge of the rest of your life?

Join us and experience a land and people who continue to maintain their salk'a nature -- their undomesticated energy -- even in the face of influences from Western culture. Allow yourself to open and remember -- and then bring this keepsake home to infuse the path unfolding before you.

In this program we will travel from Cusco to Salk'awasi, the Yábar ancestral home in the highlands outside the Indian village of Mollamarka, and on to the Sacred Valley. We will immerse ourselves in the teachings of the Andes, participate in sacred blessing and healing rituals of the Q'ero and Mollamarka Indians and visit power spots that retain source energy.

GROUP SIZE LIMITED. RESERVE YOUR SPACE!

SPECIAL PROGRAM: Most appropriate for ages 18-24.
Others considered on an individual basis.

Gayle Yabar photo Gayle Yábar has been walking the path of the nagual, a guide tracking salk'a, nearly his entire life. Through the transmission from his father, renowned Andean mystic Don Américo Yábar, and the circle of Q'ero elders, Gayle has the innate abilities of the puma and the full heart required to show others the ways of connection. In the past few years, he has been sponsored by private groups to such places as Costa Rica, Italy and the UK to work with youth.

In Gayle, there exists a sense of Self that is unusual for someone of his age.
As Kenosis is expanding to include programs for youth,
Gayle is a natural choice as not only a teacher, but a role model for impeccability.
